Distribution volume

A theoretical volume that relates the total amount of a drug in the body to its concentration in the plasma or blood at a given time. It reflects how extensively a drug is distributed into body tissues and fluids rather than remaining in the bloodstream. This parameter is expressed in liters or liters per kilogram of body weight.
