Drug distribution

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003447

The reversible movement of a drug from the systemic circulation into the tissues and organs of the body. This process is influenced by factors such as blood flow, tissue permeability, protein binding, and the physicochemical properties of the drug. The volume of distribution is a pharmacokinetic parameter that quantifies this process.
