One-compartment model
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008235
A pharmacokinetic model that assumes the entire body acts as a single, well-mixed compartment for a drug. This model simplifies the distribution and elimination processes, treating them as occurring from this single volume. Drug concentration changes over time are described by first-order kinetics, often used for drugs that distribute rapidly and uniformly throughout the body.
