One-class classification
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008234
A chemometric modeling approach used to define the boundaries of a single, well-characterized class of objects based on their measured properties. The model is trained only on data from this target class, and its purpose is to determine whether new, unknown objects belong to this class or not. This method is distinct from discriminant analysis, which requires data from two or more classes to build a model that separates them.
