Disjoint principal component analysis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003294

A classification approach in which principal component analysis is carried out separately on the samples of each class, so that each class receives its own PCA model with its own number of components. A new sample is assigned according to how well it fits each class model. The scheme is the basis of SIMCA, soft independent modelling of class analogy.
