Multicompartment model

A mathematical representation of how a substance distributes and eliminates within a biological system, dividing the body into several interconnected compartments. Each compartment represents a group of tissues or organs with similar distribution and elimination characteristics. This model is often used in pharmacokinetics to describe drug disposition.
