Elimination half life

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003810

The time required for the concentration of a substance, such as a drug or toxin, in the body to decrease by half. This pharmacokinetic parameter reflects the rate at which the body removes the substance through metabolism and excretion. It is a key factor in determining dosing intervals and predicting drug accumulation.
