Depuration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003042
The process by which an organism eliminates a chemical substance from its body. This can occur through metabolic transformation, excretion, or other physiological mechanisms. The rate of depuration is often expressed as a half-life, representing the time required for the concentration of the substance to decrease by half.
