Excretion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013090
The irreversible removal of a substance or its metabolites from a biological system, typically through processes like urination or defecation. This process eliminates waste products and foreign compounds from the body. In analytical chemistry, excretion rates are measured to understand drug metabolism and clearance kinetics.
