Excretion rate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004201
The amount of a chemical or its metabolites eliminated from the body per unit of time. This measurement is a key parameter in pharmacokinetics and toxicology for determining how quickly a substance is cleared from the system. Excretion rate is expressed in units of mass per time, such as milligrams per hour (mg/h), and is determined by analyzing concentrations in urine, feces, or exhaled air.
