Gastrointestinal excretion

The elimination of substances from the body through the gastrointestinal tract, typically in the feces. This process can involve direct secretion into the bile or intestinal lumen, or unabsorbed material passing through the digestive system. Many xenobiotics and their metabolites are excreted via this route.
