Taeniacide

A chemical agent or drug specifically designed to kill tapeworms (Taenia species) within the gastrointestinal tract of an infected host. These compounds act by disrupting the tapeworm's metabolic processes or its ability to attach to the intestinal wall, leading to its expulsion. Praziquantel is a widely used taeniacide in both human and veterinary medicine.
