Anthelmintic

A chemical agent or drug used to expel or destroy parasitic worms from the body, particularly from the gastrointestinal tract. These compounds act by paralyzing the worms, damaging their cuticles, or interfering with their metabolic processes. Common anthelmintics include albendazole and mebendazole, which are effective against a broad spectrum of helminths.
