Tacticity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011796
The arrangement of the stereochemical configurations of the configurational repeating units in a macromolecule. It describes the relative stereochemistry of adjacent chiral centers along the polymer backbone. Tacticity can be classified as isotactic, syndiotactic, or atactic, each leading to different physical properties for the polymer.
