Atactic polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000873
A polymer in which the substituent groups along the backbone chain are arranged randomly with respect to their stereochemical configuration. This lack of regular order means that there is no repeating pattern of stereoisomers. Atactic polymers generally exhibit amorphous structures and lower crystallinity compared to isotactic or syndiotactic counterparts.
