Tactic polymer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011795

A polymer characterized by a regular and ordered arrangement of its configurational repeating units along the polymer chain. This regularity pertains to the stereochemical configuration of the monomer units, such as in isotactic or syndiotactic structures. The tacticity of a polymer significantly influences its crystallinity, melting point, and mechanical strength.
