Syndiotactic macromolecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011757
A macromolecule in which the configurational repeating units have alternating relative configurations along the main chain. If the main chain is represented in a planar zigzag projection, the substituent groups on successive chiral centers alternate regularly from one side of the chain to the other. This regular arrangement leads to specific physical properties, such as crystallinity.
