Bioinactivation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001272
The process by which a biologically active substance, such as a drug or toxin, loses its activity within a living system. This can occur through metabolic transformation, degradation, or binding to other molecules. Bioinactivation often results in the detoxification or elimination of the substance from the organism.
