Chemical conversion

The process by which a chemical substance is transformed into another substance or substances through a chemical reaction. This transformation involves the breaking and forming of chemical bonds, resulting in new molecular structures. The extent of conversion is often expressed as a percentage of the initial reactant that has been consumed.
