Degree of reaction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002952
A dimensionless quantity that expresses the extent to which a chemical reaction has proceeded from reactants to products. It is defined as the change in the amount of a reactant or product divided by its stoichiometric coefficient and the initial amount. This value ranges from 0 at the start of the reaction to 1 for complete conversion of the limiting reactant.
