Biological half life
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001281
The time required for half of a substance, such as a drug or radionuclide, to be eliminated from a biological system through metabolic or excretory processes. This value is distinct from the physical half-life, which describes the decay rate of a radioactive isotope. It is a key parameter in pharmacokinetics and radiation dosimetry.
