Lethal body burden

The total quantity of a toxic substance accumulated within an organism that results in death. This internal dose reflects the amount of a chemical absorbed and distributed throughout the body's tissues and fluids. It represents the threshold concentration of a toxicant in an organism's system that leads to mortality.
