Tissue dose

The concentration of a toxic substance or its metabolites within a specific tissue or organ of the body. This measurement reflects the actual amount of a chemical that has reached and accumulated in the target site, rather than the external exposure. It is a more accurate indicator of potential toxic effects than external exposure levels.
