A/D ratio

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000219

The ratio of the dose that is toxic to the adult animal to the dose that is toxic to the developing offspring, used in developmental toxicology to compare sensitivity. A value above one means the developing organism is affected at a lower dose than the adult, while a value of one or less means the adult is at least as sensitive.
