Acyloxyl radicals
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012840
Radical species formed by the homolytic cleavage of the bond between an acyloxy group and another atom or group. These radicals possess an unpaired electron on one of the oxygen atoms of the acyloxy moiety. They are intermediates in certain radical reactions, such as the decomposition of diacyl peroxides.
