Human equivalent dose
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005418
A dose of a substance in humans that is predicted to produce the same effect as a given dose in an animal species. This extrapolation accounts for differences in body weight, surface area, and metabolic rates between species. It is often used in toxicology to translate animal study results to human risk assessment.
