Risk-specific dose
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010390
A calculated dose of a chemical that corresponds to a predetermined, acceptable level of risk for a specific adverse health effect. This dose is derived from dose-response relationships and is often used in regulatory contexts for setting exposure limits. For carcinogens, it might be the dose associated with a one in a million lifetime cancer risk.
