Benchmark dose
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001183
A dose that produces a predetermined change in response, known as the benchmark response, in a specified proportion of the exposed population, typically 5% or 10%, compared to a control group. It is calculated from dose-response data using mathematical modeling. This value serves as a point of departure for establishing regulatory exposure limits.
