Benchmark concentration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001182
A statistical lower confidence limit on a concentration that produces a predetermined change in response (the benchmark response) compared to a control group. It is derived from dose-response data using mathematical models. This value is used in risk assessment as a point of departure for setting exposure limits.
