Control limit
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002522
A boundary on a control chart, typically set at plus or minus three standard deviations from the central line, used to distinguish between common cause and special cause variation in a process. Data points falling outside these limits indicate that the process is out of statistical control. These limits are derived from the process data itself.
