Reference limit

A specific value within a reference interval that serves as a threshold for distinguishing between normal and abnormal results for a particular biological or chemical measurement. It represents the upper or lower boundary of the expected range for a healthy population. Values falling outside this limit may indicate a health concern or exposure to a toxic substance.
