Upper limit of measurement

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013682

The highest value of a quantity that a measuring instrument or method can reliably determine while maintaining specified accuracy and precision. Exceeding this limit can lead to saturation of the detector or other non-linear responses, rendering the measurement invalid. For many analytical techniques, this limit is defined by the linear range of the calibration curve.
