Range of measurement

The set of values of a quantity for which a measuring instrument or method is designed to provide accurate results. It defines the lower and upper limits within which a measurement system can operate reliably and meet its specified performance characteristics. For example, a pH meter might have a measurement range of 0 to 14 pH units.
