Spectral range
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011147
The span of wavelengths or frequencies over which a spectrometer or other optical instrument is designed to operate or can detect electromagnetic radiation. This range defines the limits of the instrument's capability to acquire spectral data. For visible light, the spectral range extends approximately from 400 nm to 700 nm.
