Free spectral range
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004658
The maximum wavelength or wavenumber interval in which there is no overlap of adjacent interference orders in an interferometer or grating spectrometer. It represents the spectral range that can be unambiguously analyzed without ambiguity from overlapping signals. This parameter is inversely proportional to the optical path difference in the interferometer.
