Spectral quantities
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011138
Physical quantities that describe the distribution of radiant energy or power as a function of wavelength, frequency, or wavenumber. These quantities are used to characterize the electromagnetic radiation emitted, absorbed, or scattered by a substance. Examples include spectral radiance, spectral radiant power, and spectral irradiance, each expressed per unit of the spectral variable.
