Spectral quantum yield
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011139
The ratio of the number of specific photophysical or photochemical events occurring to the number of photons absorbed at a particular wavelength. This quantity provides insight into the efficiency of a light-induced process as a function of the incident light's energy. It is a dimensionless quantity, typically ranging from 0 to 1.
