Energy yield of luminescence
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003934
The ratio of the total energy emitted as luminescence to the total energy absorbed by the luminescent system. This quantity is dimensionless and provides a measure of the efficiency of the luminescence process in converting absorbed energy into emitted light. It is distinct from the quantum yield, which considers the number of photons rather than energy.
