Efficiency
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003603
A measure of the effectiveness of a process, often expressed as a ratio of desired output to total input. In photochemistry, it quantifies how well absorbed light leads to a specific photochemical or photophysical event. For example, quantum efficiency measures the number of events per photon absorbed.
