External quantum efficiency

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004269

The ratio of the number of photons emitted from a device to the number of charge carriers (electrons or holes) injected into the device. It quantifies the overall efficiency of a light-emitting device, such as an LED or OLED, in converting electrical energy into light. This value is typically expressed as a percentage.
