External quantum yield

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004270

The ratio of the number of photons emitted from an optoelectronic device to the number of charge carriers injected into the device. This value accounts for all losses, including internal quantum efficiency and light extraction efficiency. It is a key performance metric for light-emitting diodes and other photonic devices.
