External reflection spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004271
A spectroscopic method where radiation is directed onto the surface of a sample at an angle, and the reflected radiation is measured. This technique is particularly useful for studying thin films or surfaces that are opaque to transmission. It provides information about the chemical composition and molecular structure of the outermost layers of a material.
