Volume reflection

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012618

The reflection of electromagnetic radiation that occurs within the bulk of a material, rather than solely at its surface. This phenomenon arises when radiation penetrates the material and is scattered or reflected by internal inhomogeneities or particles. It contributes to the overall reflectance observed from opaque or translucent samples.
