Photoadsorption efficiency

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008799

The ratio of the rate of photoadsorption of a substance to the rate of photon incidence on the photocatalyst or in the photoreactor. This dimensionless quantity measures how effectively incident photons are converted into photoadsorption events, providing a measure of the overall process efficiency under specific experimental conditions. It is distinct from the photoadsorption quantum yield, which is based on the rate of absorbed photons rather than incident photons.
