Photoadsorption fraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008800

The number of photoadsorbed atoms, molecules or ions divided by the number of regular surface sites available on the uniformly irradiated adsorbent, written θph = N/Nss. It is a dimensionless fraction of the sites and is always smaller than the photoadsorption capacity, which is its maximum value. The name replaced the older term photoadsorption number.
