Regular surface site
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010120
A specific location on a solid surface where the atoms are arranged in a periodic and ordered manner, reflecting the bulk crystal structure. These sites are characterized by a consistent coordination number and geometric environment for adsorbed species. Such sites are distinct from defect sites, which exhibit irregularities in atomic arrangement.
