Photocatalytic centre
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008813
A specific location on the surface of a photocatalyst where light-induced chemical reactions take place. These centers are characterized by their ability to absorb photons and generate electron-hole pairs, which then participate in catalytic transformations. The density and activity of these centers directly influence the overall photocatalytic reaction rate.
