Photocatalytic active centre
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008811
A specific site on the surface of a photocatalyst where a chemical reaction is initiated or accelerated by light absorption. These centers are often associated with surface defects, specific crystal facets, or adsorbed species. The density and nature of these centers determine the overall photocatalytic activity.
