Surface-active site
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011670
A specific location on the surface of a solid material, such as a catalyst or adsorbent, where chemical reactions or adsorption processes preferentially occur. These sites often possess unique electronic or structural properties that facilitate interaction with reactants. Examples include F-centers and V-centers in certain materials.
