Crosslinking site

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002722

A specific atom or group of atoms within a polymer chain where a crosslink can form, connecting two or more polymer chains. These sites facilitate the creation of a three-dimensional network structure from individual macromolecules. The reactivity of these sites dictates the efficiency and extent of the crosslinking reaction.
